Now that the DACx gateway is running smooth we would love to see other coins traded on our AE!

That’s why we offer the script and help in setting it up to anyone who seriously wants to run his own gateway. Contact us if you’re interested!

Hey, it seems like you’d really increase the functionality of this service if you also created a BTC gateway. I was just looking at doing some arbitrage with BTSX, but it’s such a pain because you can’t trade NHZ on BTER, but you can’t trade BTSX on Poloniex. So to arb between NHZ and BTSX, you have to maintain balances on the AE, Bter, and Poloniex.

But, if you guys set up a BTC gateway and then maintained a tight bid/ask spread on the AE, it would be (a) much easier to understand prices and (b) much easier to do arbitrage, so the liquidity of your DAC gateways should start to increase.

Just a thought. I’d do it myself if I had any spare time to work on this kind of thing.

I agree that a BTC gateway is a must-have, but our amount of available time is also limited. Plus, we’d prefer if more services would be run by the community.

We’re looking for gateway operators on bitcointalk and hope that someone will volunteer soon.

I could potentially run a gateway. Do you already have a working server?

    We have several servers 😉
Gateways are up for BTSX, PTS, LTS and NHZ on NXT

You would need your own server to run a gateway. NHZ would provide the program for free though.

Excellent! How about BTC? I have a server so this would work well.

Yeah. Bitcoin would be a good one to use. I can’t give you the specifics about the tech. stuff. use this link and post your interest on this thread.

Someone who knows how to get you set up will help you out there.

I don’t want to hold you off, just mention this:
Don’t rush this decision. A BTC asset is a lot of responsibility. First of course towards the users whose money you’ll handle, but there may also be legal issues.

If you want to set up a gateway contact me personally (next week) and we can talk about the details. If you’re still sure you wanna do it after that we’ll set it up together.

No, thank you for the warning! I’ve done a large amount of legal research already, I was developing a ripple gateway for awhile. I decided to stop once the MtGox hack happened as I feared my coding would be to flawed, security and integrity are always my number one concerns. I’ll shoot you over a PM in a little bit so we can discuss further.
